RECYCLED WEARABLES DESIGNED AND CONSTRUCTED TO AGE WITH CHARACTER.

At TBC. fabrications we use salvaged* materials to create non-gendered garments and functional accessories designed and executed to age with character.

TBC. aims to challenge the practice of planned obsolescence and culture of excess that the fashion industry relies on today.

We believe that making the fashion industry safer and friendlier both to people and the environment will need to be a largely cultural effort.

With this in mind, and given the means currently available to us, TBC. will aim to build on the strides that other designers have made towards the acceptance and appreciation of wear, age, and use of garments.

* We define a Salvaged Material as one which either:

A: Has been donated or re-sold after having been used

OR

B: Has not been purchased from a dealer/manufacturer who's acquisition of the material was based on an intention to sell it.

"Deadstock" textile, for example, does not qualify because it is excess, produced by mills with the intent to sell it off to consumers.
